Juniors Club Champs Finale At Fitz Park
Juniors ResultsThe final race of our club champs was an autumn stunner at Fitz Park, Keswick for the Cumbria XC race. As a last minute substitution for the sadly cancelled Arnside Knott fell Race that traditionally ends our series, it ended up being a battle to decide the series winners for some age groups.
These xc races are a great way to keep running through the winter with your friends and they really work you hard, so they’re good for building up your speed as well as your stamina. If you enjoyed this and want to do some more, or didn’t get to go but like the look of it, speak to your coach at the next training session.
The key thing for these next few colder months is just to keep doing a bit of running regularly – it will make a massive difference to how strong you are when the weather warms up if you have managed to keep at it over the winter. It’s one of those sports where the fitter you are the more you enjoy it and the more places you get to see on your runs. If you can find a friend who lives near you to go for a run with in between club training that’s a really good start and you can make little loops from each others houses to explore new places. Drag a family member along too, they might like it!
Well done to everyone who turned out to race, it was great to see so many Ambleside vests lining up on the start. We really hope you had fun and to see you at the next one.
