Parking
Unfortunately this year we have lost our usual car park in Hodge Close Quarry. After a full week of investigating potential replacements with no positive results, and discovering (again) that that there is no flat field within a mile of Race Assembly, we have an agreement to use one of Steven Dugdale’s fields at Tilberthwaite Farm, which sadly means you’ll be walking 30 minutes to the Start rather than 20. The only alternative would have been to cancel the race, but of course being fellrunners we dont give up! The good news is that the route, though off road, is flat and cycle friendly – why not bring a bike? You’ll be directed to the car park from the Ambleside – Coniston road: please have £3 ready to pay at the gate.
