LOUGHRIGG ORIENTEERING RESULTS – UPDATED
Updated to include Beth’s run :-)
Very impressive turnout of 36 for tonight’s 1hour score event on Loughrigg given the interesting weather conditions. At 4.30pm I was a wee bit concerned that the kites would be covered by a blanket of snow! Great to feel the camaraderie, friendly rivalry and banter that makes AAC so special. Particular thanks to Kat Evans (proper orienteer!) for verifying that CP10 was there and correctly positioned :-)
Finally, my grateful thanks to Team Lefton (Jez, Janet – coolest Grandma in the world! – Mila and Lana) for their help giving out maps, shouting out times and verifying control cards. Couldn’t have done it without you guys.
Well done to everyone and thank you for coming out to play. Particularly great and very proud to have several of our older juniors competing. Watch out seniors; they’re young, fast and they can navigate :-) Understandably, it was a bit chillio to hang around for prizes but I shall get them to the winners of each category in the next week or two at junior or senior training.
