New for the 2008 season Pete Bland Sports are producing a series of race maps, initially of 12 of the most popular Lakeland races but with the intention of widening this in the future to include Classics such as Ben Nevis and Snowdon. The Langdale Horseshoe Race, the Three Shires and Fairfield will be part of this initial series.

The maps are being produced in conjunction with Harvey Maps, who have been producing high quality maps for adventurous recreation for over 30 years and for many prestigous events such as the KIMM, Scottish 6-Day and Ian Hodgson Mountain Relay. The maps are compiled from original aerial surveys which are then field checked by experienced surveyors, who are usually active fell runners or orienteers. The race maps will be a convenient A4 size and feature the race route overlaid onto a full colour Harvey map with full race details, including safety requirements, on the reverse.

Pete Bland Sports will sell the maps from their shop, online and obviously from their van at  races. At present the price is not finalised but will be between £2.50 and £3.
