Fairfield
Race Results Good and clear conditions with firm ground
led to fast times. The men's and ladies winners were
both from Bingley. Vic Wilkinson ran superbly to break
the ladies record by nearly a minute. Rob Jebb just
missed out by 5 seconds. It is worth noting that a
repaired wall on the very final part of the descent
meant that the course was about 50 meters longer!
Runners were reminded at registration and on the start
line that the first checkpoint was on Nab Scar was
adjacent to the wall and stile crossing.

members and helpers of Ambleside AC.
Next year’s
race will be held on Sunday 14th May. A note for your
diaries! In 2007 we shall be celebrating the 40th
running of the race. The provisional plan is to hold the
race on a Saturday afternoon starting at 2pm. An all day
bar, barbecue and ceilidh is also planned.
